第12回 東京マラソンTokyo Marathon 2018 & マラソン祭り in 浅草

「東京マラソン」(Tokyo Marathon 2018 主催:一般財団法人東京マラソン財団) が開催され、国内外から約36,000人のランナーが参加し、前回から新たになった高速ランニングコースを駆け抜けた。優勝はディクソン・チュンバ(ケニア)、女子はベルハネ・ディババ(エチオピア)。二位の設楽悠太選手(Honda)が2時間6分11秒で16年間ぶりに日本記録を更新し、報奨金1億円(マラソン強化プロジェクトProject EXCEED)を獲得。
また、沿道各所においては、マラソン祭りなどランナー応援関連イベント(主催:東京都)が同時開催され、東京マラソン出場記念撮影スポットとして人気の高い浅草「浅草寺」雷門前では、金龍舞や浅草芸者衆による和太鼓演舞などのランナー応援パフォーマンスが繰り広げられた。

東京マラソンEXPO 2018が開幕 at 東京ビッグサイト

2/25開催予定の「東京マラソン Tokyo Marathon 2018」に先立ち、2/22から始まるランナーゼッケン配布に合わせ、その配布会場となる東京ビッグサイト(東京都江東区有明)で、東京マラソンEXPO 2018が開幕。人気のTokyo Marathon限定ランニングTシャツや最新ランニングアパレル・シューズ・Goods等を買い求める多くの外国人客などで初日から賑わいを見せた。2/24までの開催 (主催:一般財団法人東京マラソン財団)
